A BIT OF HISTORY
Mauro he was born in San Venanzo on October 15, 1814. Just like his brother Zeffirino, he too became passionate about the Italian cause by coming into contact, in Orvieto, with the more liberal circles already in the years of his formation.
Passionate about antiquities: a passion conceived not so much as a form of investment or affirmation of a cultural superiority, but rather as a search for pure aesthetic enjoyment.
Mauro died suddenly on 11 November 1868 in the villa of Princess Bonaparte in Laviano.
